Actress Scarlett Johansson was named as number 7 of “Greatest Blonde Marilyn Monroe”

A spokesman for Clairol Nice ‘n Easy – the company which commissioned One Poll to carry out the survey – said: “Marilyn Monroe has always been known for her iconic blonde hair.

“But it’s amazing to think that even now, almost half a century after her death, she has still beaten modern blondes to the top spot.

“Her hair is synonymous with 1950s glamour but it has stood the test of time against hair styles and colours which have come and gone over the years.”

Johansson & Reynold’s Anniversary Purchase

Hollywood couple SCARLETT JOHANSSON and RYAN REYNOLDS have treated themselves in time for their second wedding anniversary – they have bought a $2.8 million (£1.8 million) Los Angeles lovenest.

The pair will celebrate its second year as a married couple in September (10), and they are set to move into a stunning new home to celebrate.

They have bought a two-bedroom, three-bathroom house in L.A. with a swimming pool and panoramic views, according to UsMagazine.com. The couple also owns an apartment in Manhattan, New York.

Scarlett Johansson does sign up for sexy role

It has now been claimed that ‘Gossip Girl’ actress Blake Lively may take over the female lead in the space-set thriller, starring opposite Robert Downey Jr. if Scarlett drops out of the project.

Scarlett Johansson Takes Over From Angelina Jolie In Sci-Fi Film

Scarlett Johansson report to replacing Angelina Jolie in Sci-Fi Film

The Wanted beauty was originally offered the role as director Alfonso Cuaron’s leading lady in the upcoming 3D film, but she declined and now Johansson has “verbally agreed” to star.

The New York Daily News claims Downey, Jr. is slated to appear alongside the Lost In Translation actress in what Cuaron is allegedly touting as “the most ambitious film, technology-wise, since Avatar”.

Sci-fi epic Avatar, directed by James Cameron, was lauded for its stunning 3D effects and won Oscars for Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects at the Academy Awards earlier this year (10).

It also became the world’s highest grossing film of all time after earning more than $2 billion at the global box office, beating the previous record of $1.8 billion set by Cameron’s last smash hit, Titanic.

Scarlett Johansson Buys A New Home In Louisiana

“Iron Man 2″ actress Scarlett Johansson and her husband Ryan Reynolds have just purchased a new home in Louisiana. The two are said to currently be adding eco-friendly touches to their home, including solar heating.

The couple has recently put their home in Los Angeles, California up for sale for $4.5 million.

Scarlett and Ryan will now be living nearby Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock, who also own homes in Louisiana.

Scarlett Johansson cast in ‘lost’ Stanley Kubrick film

Among the discarded projects of the famously fastidious Stanley Kubrick are “lost” movies about Napoleon Bonaparte, the Holocaust and the American civil war. Now, 11 years after his death, a treatment by the legendary film-maker titled Lunatic at Large looks set to make it to the big screen, with Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell attached to star.

Production Weekly broke the news on Twitter last night, reporting that the project is based on an original story by Kubrick and pulp writer Jim Thompson. The film-maker was set to shoot the movie in the early 1960s, but withdrew after being offered the chance to direct Roman epic Spartacus by its star, Kirk Douglas.

Thompson and Kubrick’s work was completed in the late 50s, and the film is set in 1956 New York. It centres on an ex-carnival worker with serious anger-management issues and a nervous, attractive barfly he picks up.
